When you think of Cologne, you can't miss the Cologne Cathedral (Dom) and the famous carnival. But the city on the Rhine has lots more to offer to its students. With around one million inhabitants, Cologne is the most populated city in North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW). The old town and the banks of the Rhine river attract numerous visitors.
The Hohenzollern Bridge is a popular photo spot and the museums and historical monuments are also worth a visit. The Zülpicher Street and the trendy neighborhoods of Ehrenfeld, Kawartier Latäng and the Belgian quarter attract with their numerous pubs and invite you to share a 'Kölsch' beer.
If you are new to the city of Cologne, you will love the open nature and the Rhenish cheerfulness. So take advantage of all the nice stuff Cologne has to offer you as a student.
