Pre-Master - Business Administration Preparation for Non-Business Economists
Sound knowledge of business administration is often the prerequisite for a Master's programme in the field of management. However, many interested students do not meet the admission requirements with their Bachelor's programme.
The compact preparatory semester enables you to qualify for the diverse Master's programme at ISM. It doesn't matter in which field you have completed your Bachelor's degree: we make you fit for the Master's!
Top position in the CHE Master's Ranking
In the current CHE university ranking for Master's degree programs, the ISM was rated very positively for all seven campuses. ISM achieved four out of five stars in all ten categories.
There was particular praise, for example, for the support provided for study stays abroad, the courses offered and for the very strong ties with professional practice
How Can I Apply?
In order to be able to study the Pre-Master at ISM, you take part in an internal entrance test which tests your personality, your motivation and your abilities. The Business Administration Preparation Semester is not restricted by a “Numerus Clausus” (NC).

ISM is AACSB accredited
ISM has been recognized at the highest level by the AACSB (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) and is currently the only private German university of applied sciences holding the AACSB accreditation. After years of dedicated effort, ISM has now been granted the AACSB accreditation which is an important seal of quality which certifies excellence in research and teaching. The key requirements for receiving the prestigious accreditation are: highest quality in teaching, committed lecturers who proactively support students, successful cooperation with companies and international universities as well as very good career entry opportunities for graduates. After completing my bachelor's degree in fashion design, I was looking for a master's degree in business administration. The Pre-Master at the ISM teaches foreign students like me the basics of business administration and has made it possible for me to pursue my desired course of studies.
